Norfolk’s High Streets Matter project supports retail
- No Comments
A succesful start to Norfolk’s High Streets Matter, a package of support by Norfolk County Council backing rural high street businesses, took place in Swaffham earlier this month.
A hundred businesses in pilot towns across Norfolk can take part in a Retail Excellence programme as part of High Streets Matter to develop skills and accelerate footfall.
Community groups and individuals will also be able to apply for funding for projects designed to raise awareness of their market town and instil pride in the area through the campaign.

If you are a retailer and based in Dereham, Diss, Fakenham or North Walsham, sign up to our bespoke Retail Excellence Programme taking place this summer. The winter programme launches in September/ October for retail businesses in Aylsham, Attleborough, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hunstanton and Sheringham. It is fully funded (so free to take part). Read all about it here.
The project is led by a great team from Norfolk County Council and New Anglia Growth Hub working closely with district council colleagues. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the team via email at nhsm@norfolk.gov.uk or sign up here. Tick ‘Retail Excellence‘ under ‘Reason for Enquiry‘.
