New High Streets Matter news update

As the autumn workshops of the High Streets Matter Programme draw to a close, we would like to highlight our fantastic retail and hospitality guides.

Part of our programme is offering business support by advisers Matthew Maddocks and Kate Morgan, grants and an online resource.

We have launched several retail and hospitality guides, including One-Page Growth Strategy, Christmas Guide, Health & Safety and Staff Training.

Our newest is ‘Delivering Great Customer Experience’, which offers practical ways to create a consistent, high-quality experience that keeps customers coming back. Tips range from making first impressions count, staff behaviour and consistency to managing the atmosphere and complaints.

Download all our guides and the newest one about customer experience.

That leaves us to say a big thank you to the guest speakers who have delivered insightful and hugely beneficial advice to our retailers and hospitality businesses during this programme. Nathan Lomax from Quickfire Digital, Geoff Mayers from Broadland Food Innovation Centre, Amy Hobson from Digital Bridge Skills, Simon Wingfield from Wingfield Consultants, Robert Hall from Yawn Marketing and Peter Boswell, it has been a pleasure working with you all.

More guides to follow and the new Suffolk programme for Leiston, Sudbury and Stowmarket starts in January 2027. Read more here.

This programme is supported by Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils and the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade.
