Retail Excellence Programme is off to a great start!

Last week, the bespoke retail programme launched with the first workshops in North Walsham and Fakenham. Key aims are supporting shop owners with gaining new skills and knowledge to attract more customers to the market towns.
Growth Adviser and Retail Consultant Alexandra Hemen led the workshops with Adviser Sally Lomax joining her in North Walsham. Interesting conversations took place covering questions and topics such as:
– What type of retail business do you think you have?
– What kind of business is the market town if it was a business?
– Pricing structure & consistency
– Opening hours
– What is helpful to have in a town eg access to a bank, post office and café with full day opening hours
– Partnering up between shops
– Staff recruitment and much more.
This special retail programme is part of the High Streets Matter initiative backed by Norfolk County Council.
