Orian Mendes

Orian has over 20 years of extensive experience in growing and managing companies, business development, sales, product development, marketing, manufacturing and publishing.

As the Managing Director for Ola Sportswear, she grew the business from a start-up to an established leading brand and suppliers’ choice in the sportswear industry in Zimbabwe. A major accolade was supplying Ola clothing to high profile sports teams, including Zimbabwe’s Cricket National Team.

Her innovative problem-solving skills came to the fore whilst navigating hyperinflation and its linked challenges. During this time, she also grew a subsidiary underwear manufacturing business, supplying 200 stores nationally.

More recently, she has worked in the UK as a Business Development Manager at flagship publishing firm TSO, focusing on best practice guidance. Orian’s deep knowledge and experience, and international network are a major asset to the team and clients. Overall, Orian has a keen interest in building resilience across industries and supporting ambitious businesses achieve their sustainable growth potential through tailored support, strategic insight and practical guidance.

She enjoys the outdoors often walking in the countryside and at the coast in all seasons. She values meaningful connections with people and is a prolific reader!
