What an excellent manufacturing event that filled Saxon Air’s hangar in Norwich with boldness and action! On Tuesday, we attended New Anglia Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering’s (NAAME) high profile annual conference ‘Smart Energy for Industry’ which showcased new technologies and solutions.
Norfolk and Suffolk businesses shared their growth stories and how they tackled their energy use and costs. Real challenges and real solutions.
The conference started with industry leader and keynote speaker Juergen Maier CBE FRS FREng who spoke with candour and vigour about his take on the industry and how ‘Manufacturing Matters’. He recognises and applauds the region’s impressive impact and productivity opportunities, and encourages the sector in the East of England to share its successes more widely.
Excellent insights and knowledge about the impact of current affairs on energy costs and our growing energy sector were delivered by East of England Energy Group’s (EEEGR) Chairman Kevin Keable, Indigo Swan’s Commercial Director Aimee Konieczny, Warren Services’ MD Will Bridgman, Saxon Air’s CEO Alex Durand and Opergy’s MD Johnathan Reynolds.
