Team Update: Richard Glinn
Richard Glinn, the Growth Hub’s Senior Business Growth Adviser, has decided to move on and will be leaving us at the end of August 2019.
Richard joined the team in May 2014 and, with his wealth of experience and dedicated leadership, has been instrumental in driving the growth and success of not only the Growth Hub itself but businesses across our two counties.
In announcing his decision, Richard reflected on his involvement with the Growth Hub. “When I joined this new organisation it was completely different from anything I had done previously. My original thought was to spend maybe a year, possibly two, to see how things developed. Five years later I can honestly say that it has been a great experience for two main reasons.”
“Firstly, getting involved with and being able to assist some great companies and entrepreneurs, small, medium and large. Secondly, working with a top team of people – not only the immediate Growth Hub personnel but also our partners. The common criticism used to be that the provision of business support was disjointed and confusing. I would like to think that the New Anglia Growth Hub is now doing its job in that respect – namely, truly serving as a ‘Hub’, the number one place for local companies to go to for help, ideas and guidance. We may not know all the answers but we have all the connections.”
“The New Anglia Growth Hub can provide essential support to local companies. It is important that businesses are aware of our presence and that the Growth Hub team maintain high standards in order to fulfil their responsibilities in terms of the provision of support and guidance to the business community in Norfolk and Suffolk. If those standards are realised, the New Anglia Growth Hub will continue to offer a vital service.”
Richard will be sorely missed by Growth Hub, LEP and Suffolk Chamber colleagues and the hundreds of businesses he has helped and supported. We take this opportunity to thank him for his unflagging efforts and consistent enthusiasm for all he tackled, and wish him well in his future endeavours.
